Belfield & Ward was established in 2009 by Philip Belfield and Mark Ward. Initially in a small office in St Martin’s Lane and now on Neal St in the heart of Covent Garden, their aim was and continues to be, to create a respected personal management agency working with a diverse list of artists and creatives in all fields of theatre, television, film and radio.

Between them Phil & Mark have a wealth of experience in theatre, production, performance and artist representation. They work with a select list of clients and strive to provide full management, career development & support.

The Belfield & Ward team work closely and tirelessly together to build, develop and sustain the career of everyone we represent. As an agency we pride ourselves on always striving for the highest calibre of opportunities in this ever changing & challenging entertainment industry.

We love what we do!

Phil Belfield has degree in Drama & Theatre Studies from Middlesex University. He has worked in a number of arts organisations including the NT, Lyric Hammersmith, Riverside Studios & Royal Court. He was part of the original team at the Stage Holding UK office and assisted Matthew Bourne & the team at Adventures in Motion Pictures (now New Adventures) for 6 years before joining Cassie Mayer Ltd as a junior agent in 2000, and then as an agent in his own right for BBA from 2004.

We are not saving the world but we love what we do and enjoy the delights and challenges of the work and the industry we are in, and are proud of what we can and continue to achieve on behalf of, with and for all of our clients.

Mark Ward has 26 years experience of working in theatre. Having trained at Bird College he enjoyed a career in musical theatre working on such shows as Cats and the first ever UK tour of Grease.
He then moved into an assistant agent position for Re.Animator Agency where he was quickly made the sole agent and helped establish it as one of the UK’s leading dance agencies over the next five years.  At this point he was then invited to join BBA to create his own list and worked with a select group of sought after performers mainly working in musical theatre.
Whilst at BBA he met and worked with Phil Belfield and they left to set up Belfield and Ward in 2009.
It’s Mark’s belief that an agent is only as good as their clients and he is thrilled to work with a list of some of the finest talent in the UK.
