With over 20 years of agenting experience between them, Phil Belfield and Mark Ward started Belfield & Ward in 2009 from a small office St. Martin’s Lane, and are now based in Neal Street, Covent Garden.

The intention has always been, and still is, to build a select client base of individual, talented and committed actors working across all areas of the industry, nationally and internationally, and to work with attention to detail and integrity to build, develop and sustain successful careers.

As well as actors, Belfield & Ward also represents a select list of creatives.

Belfield & Ward pride themselves on building strong and valued relationships with casting directors, producers, directors and general managers and their clients work in all areas of the industry including leading, supporting and ensemble roles in the West End, subsidised and touring theatre, television, film, commercials and radio drama.

Phil Belfield has a BA in Drama & Theatre Studies from Middlesex University. He worked in a number of arts organisations including the NT, Lyric Hammersmith, Riverside Studios & Royal Court. He then helped set up the Stage Holding UK office and assisted Matthew Bourne at Adventures in Motion Pictures (now New Adventures) for 6 years before joining Cassie Mayer Ltd as a junior agent in 2000, and then as an agent for BBA from 2004.

Joining Mark Ward in founding Belfield & Ward in 2009, Phil is thrilled and proud to build on close existing working relationships, working closely with actors and creatives within a boutique agency, with a manageable and select list of clients.

We are not saving the world but we love what we do and enjoy the delights and challenges of the work and the industry we are in, and are proud of what we can and continue to achieve on behalf of, with and for all of our clients.
